Kimmi Dane Jimenez, M.A. has eight years of experience as a faculty member in higher education and is a dedicated communication educator. She is presently in the process of obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Communication, with a focus on strategic communication. She is a published author in purposive communication and an advocate for mindful and effective communication in both academic and public spheres. Additionally, she serves as the chair of the review of instructional materials in the College of Arts and Sciences and the head of DZSU Radyo Kabitenyo. She is the Adviser of DZSU Hayag Luntian, a student organization for radio broadcasting; Sinagtala, a student organization for multimedia; and Journalism Guild, the official organization of the BA Journalism program at Cavite State University. Furthermore, she serves as the Program Coordinator for the Development Communication program at the College of Arts and Sciences. Her present research deals with the communication of the trifocal duties of state universities in the Philippines through the use of social media: research, instruction, and extension. This research endeavors to ascertain the extent to which these roles influence institutional identity and stakeholder engagement when they are strategically and cohesively displayed. The research investigates the ideological tensions between public service and neoliberal influences in higher education by analyzing digital discourse.
